Install Midium Desktop, run a model, and point Cursor at a local sub-agent.

Midium Desktop

Chat, sub-agents for your editor, Studio for images and video, and one personal Vault. Any model your hardware can run. Local inference and your personal Vault stay on your machine by default. Connectors only send what you point them at.

Install

  1. Download for Mac and open the disk image.
  2. Open the disk image, move the app to Applications, and open it.
  3. macOS 26.2 or later on Apple Silicon. Runs on 16 GB. 48 GB recommended for the best models. That applies to sub-agents and Studio. The app checks and tells you what fits.

Chat

Talk to any local model. Skills and connectors live in Settings.

Sub-agents

Sub-agents expose a local model to Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex over MCP. Runs on 16 GB. 48 GB recommended for the best models. Setup.

Studio

Studio generates images and video on your machine. The app checks memory before it starts a model.

Vaults

Midium Desktop includes one personal Vault. Local inference and your personal Vault stay on your machine by default. Connectors only send what you point them at. Shared Vaults come with dedicated capacity or a Hub license.

Settings

Settings is where skills and connectors live. On dedicated capacity or a Hub license, admin controls for members, Vault sharing, and capacity are in Settings too.
